Unused Programs

Get rid of the programs you don't use.  If you don't play that game you used to love two years ago, then uninstall it.  If you have the disk you can always install it again.  Check out your add/remove programs option.  It will let you know if you use the program or not.  If it says "rarely" or "never" you may want to take a closer look at it.  Some people have a lot of clutter on their computer. This can make any computer slow.  Especially games.  Also check your memory tray.  Your memory tray is on the bottom right and corner(where the clock is).  Some people have a chat relay program such as MSN Messenger, AIM, and others to start during the start up.  Check the options to disable them during start up.  This way your computer will start up faster and you can launch the chat relay program when you are ready to chat.
