Malware

malware - malicious software designed to damage or disrupt a system, such  as virus or trojan horse.  Can cause severe computer problems.

A computer infected with malware may exhibit the following symptoms:  slow start up, frequent error messages, browser hijacking, computer slowness, corrupted files, and many other computer problems.  It's important to keep your "computer defense system" updated and fully operational.  The computer defense system consists of antivirus protection, antispyware protection, firewall protection, and an updated o/s.  The better a defense, the more you decrease your chance of being attacked.

Everyone is danger of receiving malware.  The computers with the least amount of protection are the ones will suffer the most computer problems.  If you think you may be infected with a malicious virus, key logger, or any other nasty program here are some simple steps to get rid of this computer problem:

For Windows User Only
1.  Visit the Microsoft Windows update page.  Make sure you are current
2.  Update your virus protection, then scan your computer for viruses.
3.  Update your antispyware, then scan for spyware.
4.  Update your antiadware, then scan for adware.

If the problem still persists you may need to restore your computer back to it's factory settings.  Don't worry you can save all your documents and bookmarks in a flash drive.  Then after you have restored your computer you can upload your documents and bookmarks back.  DeBog.com has steps on how to do a 'restore'.
