Fragmented Files

defrag
your hard drive!!

We are the experts on why you need to defrag your hard drive.  But what does that mean exactly?  Over time your hard drive does not put everything back nice and neat.  At first you will not notice the slowness or experience any computer problems.  However after a while more and more files become fragmented and the computer takes longer to process.  Okay so you are not technical and you still don't really understand this.  That's okay imagine this for a minute.  When you get a news paper and on the front page it says something about an article but to read the rest you have to goto a different page.  It takes a few seconds to find that page.  It's the same thing with a fragmented file.  Your computer has to find the rest of the file.

As our friends in Australia say, "No worries!"  Just use your Disk Defragmenter

Click Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Defragmenter

On the Disk Defragmenter tool click on "Analyze"  From here it will tell you if you need to defrag your hard drive.  If you need to defrag your hard drive then you can click on "Defragment"  It could take a while to defrag the hard drive so you may want to take a break from your computer while it is putting the files back in order.
